What we cover
Our four desks—Technology, Home, Fashion, and Beauty—focus on purchases that shape ordinary routines. We start with a recognizable situation: a shared home office, a crowded commute, a one-week carry-on, or a skincare routine that still works on a late night.
How we research
- Define the job. We name the reader, room, routine, constraints, and desired outcome.
- Check published information. We consult manufacturers, public agencies, standards organizations, and established retailers where appropriate.
- Separate fact from judgment. Specifications are attributed; our scenario recommendations are editorial interpretation.
- Name the tradeoffs. Every meaningful recommendation includes limits and “who should skip it” guidance.
- Keep prices current. We generally use “check current price” because retailer pricing and inventory change.
What we do not claim
We do not invent hands-on testing, laboratory measurements, professional credentials, clinical outcomes, ratings, or ownership experience.
